Asking words

Choose who, what or where to start a question.

A question often starts with a special asking word. The word you pick depends on what you want to know.

Three asking words

Who asks about a person. What asks about a thing. Where asks about a place.

Worked example

You want to know the place your bag is in.

  1. A bag sits somewhere. You want the place.

    Place is the clue.
