Reading: comprehension
Read a short story
Read two short lines and answer a question about what they say.
A story tells you things one line at a time. The answer to a question is nearly always sitting in the lines.
How to answer
Read the lines twice before you answer. Then find the very words that say it.
Worked example
"The baker has a white van. He drives it to the market." Where does he drive the van?
The question asks about a place.
So look for a place word in the lines.
Try it together
"The boy dropped his yellow ball. He found it behind the door." Let's answer three questions.
1.What did the boy drop?
Have a go
