Year 5 Maths — Division with remainders
Divide by a single digit, and say what is left over when it does not go exactly.
Name: ________________________
Before you start
Twenty-four ones in a row. Count along it in fives and see where you come to a stop.
Four fives reach 20 and there is not enough left for a fifth. The 4 still sitting there is the remainder, and it is always smaller than the number you were counting in.
1.Work out each division, then sort it by whether it goes exactly or leaves something over.
