Day, night and the days of the week

Name the days of the week in order and say what happens by day and by night.

A week has seven days, and they always come round in the same order. Every day has a light part and a dark part.

Worked example

Which day comes after Thursday?

  1. Say the days in order: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday…

The order never changes, so saying them always works.

Try it together

Let us walk round a whole week.

1.Which day comes straight after Sunday?

    Remember

Saturday and Sunday sit together, and together they are called the weekend. The seven days go round and round, week after week.
