Operations and Algebraic Thinking
7 times table
Recall the seven times table up to 7 × 12.
The seven times table is the one most people find hardest. The good news is that you already know most of it from the other tables.
You know more than you think
6 × 7 comes free from the six times table, and 10 × 7 is easy. Everything else can be reached from one of those two.
Worked example
What is 7 × 6?
Seven sixes and six sevens are the same amount.
Multiplying either way round always gives the same answer.
Try it together
Now let us work out 7 × 8 together.
Eight sevens is a long way to count, so start at ten sevens and come back.
1.What is 10 × 7?
